At lunchtime the students are always playing this game. It like volleyball but kicking the soccerball instead. They are very skillful and there are usually 3 games going on and a proper soccer game being played on the turf to the right.
Lunchtime in the hallway near the english office. These are some grade 2 students who are about 16 years old.
After lunchtime everybody brushes their teeth. It is common practice among teachers and students all over the country.
These 2 photos were taken back in July of some 3rd grade students who are about 17 years. It is their final year at high school, next year they will go to university. Tomorrow is the biggest exam in their lives, as it will determine what university they will go to. Korean companies choose top university graduates for good jobs. Tomorrow students all over Korea will sit the Korean University Entrance Exam. It is stressful for them and the pressure they have had up to this exam has been a big load. They still manage to smile and have fun at lunchtime.
The good thing about tomorrow is Dion gets a day off school. I was told by a friend a few of the traditions about the Korean Entrance Exam.
Mothers will put sticky rice on the gates of the University their child wants to go to.
The students will get a police and military escort to the different schools in our local area where they sit the exam.
They go on a bus but it will be very early in the morning so I wont be able to take a photo.
